If you've just lost someone you love, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry you're here, and I'm glad you came. You don't have to read all of this. One sentence is enough for today.
A few words for the first days
Whatever you feel is allowed.
Numb, angry, afraid, empty, even nothing at all.
You don't need answers.
God can handle your questions.
Eat something. Drink some water. Lean on one person today.
Big decisions can wait.
You're not behind.
There is no schedule for this.
A verse to hold on to “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 (ESV) “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 (ESV) A short prayer Lord, I don't know how to pray. My heart is broken. Please stay close to me today. Help me get through this hour, and then the next. Hold the one I love, and hold me. Amen.
